Physicians Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose

9:23 AM 0

After a massive success of Butter Bronzers, Physicians Formula launched a range of Butter Blushes, which originally only came in two shades, but they later added two more, both in much brighter colours than the original two. I have one of the first two shades, Plum Rose, which is a completely unique shade in my collection. I had these on my wishlist for a long time because I heard some serious raves about the buttery creamy formula and I finally got one as a birthday gift a few months ago. I was so looking forward to trying one of these, but honestly, I felt a bit underwhelmed after the first use and I'm still not sure about it.

Texture: Bronzer from this line is universally praised for its silky, buttery-creamy texture and the blush was described to have the same formula by reviewers, so I expected an almost cream-to-powder super pigmented formula, but this just isn't that special. From the start it behaved like a regular blush with a hard top layer and my thick blush brush barely picked up any colour, so I was quite disappointed and even considered putting it in my monthy post as a disappointment, but I've had it for several months now and I've broke through that layer, which revealed a much more pigmented formula. Regardless it still isn't nearly as creamy as I expected, but it is incredibly smooth and silky, unlike any other formula I own. Due to the smooth texture it blends really well.

Colour: My shade Plum Rose looks just as bland in real life as you can see it on my pictures. I don't even know how to describe this colour, maybe a muted pinky-peachy-taupe - honestly, it just isn't what I expected based on the pictures which showed it as a more pink. Now that the top layer is gone, it's nicely pigmented and it shows up with one layer on my NC10 skin tone, however, it's such a light shade that even if you layer it, it's very pale and I'm not a fan of it, though I have nothing like it. It looks so blah on the cheeks, it's a grey-ish peachy shade on me and it's draining. It's too peachy too be a contour and it's too grey to be a blush, so it's this strange shade that I feel needs something extra. Other shades are probably better, though I hear Natural Glow is even lighter than this and I doubt Plum Rose shows up on anyone over NC/W15. It's better you go with the two new shades, though both are very basic seen-it-a-million-times shades, one is a cool toned bright pink (Rosy Pink) and the other a bright peach (Vintage Rouge).

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Sincere on the lips.

Staying power: Considering how light it is, it actually lasts well on the cheeks. After 7 hours there's still 70% of it on the cheeks and with a pretty rubbish base, so I consider that a good staying power.

Scent: It smells like sunscreen and coconuts, but not like Pina Colada as some say because there is no fruitiness in this. Some might be put off by the strong scent of this one, though it's not as strong as some report it and I find it's just a nice addition (Bourjois blushes have a stronger scent than this). The fragrance is now sold as a part of a palette, which I think is only sold in the US.

Packaging: Like most Physicians Formula powder products the packaging is bulky, but it's because they include both a mirror and a brush in their compacts. This one is the same as at Happy Booster blush and the Argan Wear bronzer, meaning plastic with a too large extra compartment under the blush pan which holds a sponge applicator and a mirror. I do not get what possessed them to add a sponge instead of a brush because it's just completely useless, especially when it comes to blending and this is a very blendable formula, so that says something. The bright magenta hue of the packaging is also not my favourite.

Price and availability: It costs 14.90 € on Click2Chic (Slovenia & Croatia) and $12.18 on iHerb, which ships worldwide.

While I can praise it's super smooth and silky texture, I expected more from this blush. Based on reviews I thought this has the same amazing formula that shade Amber Love in L'Oreal Infallible Paint it palette has, so super creamy, buttery and intensely pigmented, almost a cream to powder when you swatch it with fingers. However, I feel as though the fairness of the shade is dragging it down and it's preventing it from showing its true potential, even though the pigmentation is actually good. Plum Rose is a strange shade that is not nearly as pink as you might have seen it online and I just don't think it suits me. I'm not loving the current shade range and I never wear bronzers, so I don't think I'll be exploring this line (maybe I'll get a bronzer just because my only one is ancient), but I heard praises about the highlighters, so I'm hoping I'll get my hands on one of those.

Have a great day!

Makeup Artist Rati

I wish i could give a zero, it's the total waste of money. I bloody paid hell lot of amount for me and my mother's makeup. They completely ruined our faces. if i am giving one as rating its only for the hairdo which was also not satisfactory for the amount i paid for. Moreover the senior makeup artists claims to be a professional but have no bloody knowledge how to do the things. they can't even tone the face and neck. I wish i could have rather donated the amount somewhere. In one word its pathetic , also the staff is rude and don't care about what the customer has to say.

April Favourites, Updates and Wishlist

8:13 AM 0

As far as matte liquid lipsticks go, this is one of my favourites out of the ones that are sold in our drugstores. Maybelline's last forever on the lips, but these are more comfortable and still perfectly matte, pigmented and last enough to get you through the day. It's one of those lipsticks I can apply in the morning and just forget about it because there's no need for fixing or reapplying it, plus if I apply one coat, I can't even feel it on the lips. Rimmel did a great job with these.

I've worn this one on most days because it's such an easy to wear nude shade. Compared to the pinker Devotion this dries (almost) matte faster, likely because it's one of the new shades and they might have tinkered with the formula, but these are still so comfortable and despite the creamy finish from the start, they also last well too.

I've been using other mascaras for a while now because I'm always testing something new (though I'd rather stick to my favourites to be honest, however, I can't justify buying a new mascara if I have a PR sample at home to use up), but I opened a new tube of this formula and it just reminded me how awesome it is. It's more volumizing and lengthening than the stuff I've been using in the last months and since it's waterproof I finally had my lashes perfectly curled all day. The formula is on the dry side, which also means it defines well and doesn't create clumps.

As time consuming as this is to apply because it's in liquid form and needs two layers, I like this because it just lasts though anything. It applies nicely with no fear of a patchy look, so even one layer is nice, the second is only added for the intensity of the shade, so it's almost a foolproof product. Once it sets, which doesn't take long, it doesn't move, doesn't crease or smudge, so it's a very long-lasting product and the best eyeshadow in such form I've tried. Mauve your body is a great, universally flattering shade and it reminds me a lot of Mac's Satin Taupe.

BALEA Duschgel
They see me rollin'
I think this is one of the best shower gels Balea made, not just because of the scent, but also the formula is much thicker than their other shower gels which means you use less. The gel is tinted blue with white frosty shimmer, so that's another cool thing apart from the packaging which always makes me think of those funny "they see me rollin" cat videos in the shower. It's one of their best smelling shower gels for my taste because it smells like berries, but more specifically like that kids pink toothpaste with a crocodile Vademecum, so it's not super sweet, but a bit fresh.

BATH & BODY WORKS Ultra Shea Body Cream
Twilight Woods
This by far my favourite product in this post, I'm just so blown away by the quality of it. I'm a big fan of the Twilight Woods scent and I use the body mist all the time, but I wasn't sure if the rest of the products are nice too, especially BBW's body lotions always looked suspicious to me like they have that thin, non-nourishing texture of Aveo and Balea LE scented stuff, but then I read this review from the Sunday Girl and I went straight on eBay to buy the Ultra Shea Body Lotion. This is amazing! The texture is so rich and creamy, it's pretty much a body butter in a tube. I'm loving this so much and I'd like to get more versions like Country Apple.

 GOOD FIRST IMPRESSIONS

BEAUTY OF JOSEON Dynasty Cream
Full size looks like this.
This has great ingredients, as niacinamide is 4th on the list and it also has hyaluronic acid, adenosine and a bunch of extracts, though the latter are very late on the list. It's a medium thick moisturiser that is somewhere between a cream and a gel formula, similar to Etude House Moistufull Collagen, but less jelly. I've used this morning and night for a couple of weeks untill the sample all but ran out and my skin really loved it. I'm not sure if niacinamide had any effect, but my skin just looked a picture of health - it had that lovely healthy radiance, zero spots or other pore problems and it felt comfortable. The scent is floral which is ok to me, but some might find it too strong and that's the only potential minus I can find at this. At the moment my top three moisturisers are this one, Tony Moly Panda's Dream Sleeping Pack and EH Moistfull Collagen.

THE BODY SHOP Body Yogurt
Banana
This is a brand new product that'll launch in June and it will be available in several scents, but Banana is that one special one that doesn't exist in their body care lines, just the hair care so far. The scent of this is addictive and I don't even like banana scented stuff, especially those that smell like that Casali candy, but this is close to real ripe and sweet bananas, though not exactly spot on. I use it in the morning, mostly because I like the fragrance it leaves on my skin for a couple of hours, plus it's also cool I use at least something moisturising in the morning, even if it is light and my skin prefers their more nourishing body butters.

MY SPECIAL OCCASION MAKEUP
I attended one of the very rare special occasions in my life and this is the makeup I used, so this is my "good stuff" that makes my skin look good and the shades that compliment my pale, neutral skin tone.

BASE:
MILANI Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer in 00A Porcelain as a concealer (I ran out of Bourjois Radiance Reveal)
EYES:
TOO FACED Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, shade Gilded Ganashe (not on the picture)
CHEEKS:
LIPS:

ORDERED

ETUDE HOUSE 0.2 Air Therapy Sheet Mask in Snail (Repurchase. Review here, ordered here) // Bra for low cut dresses / Plunge Bra / Lace Socks - all three ordered from this seller.

BATH & BODY WORKS Country Apple Fine Fragrance Mist and Ultra Shea Lotion // BOURJOIS Radiance Reveal Concealer (A repurchase of my favourite, but I'm delaying because it's 10 €) // PACO RABANNE Olympéa Acqua Eau de Parfum Légère (I think it's the best Olympea so far as it's got less jasmine) // ECOTOOLS Precision Blush and Wonder Color Finish Blush & Contour Brush (I've seen these in person at my cousin and they look amazing. I use their old blush brush all the time).

Have a great day!

Wedding Wik Almost Ruined my Engagement

11:16 PM 0
Never go there..until u want to get fooled by their insta handle. They spoiled my engagement completely. I booked them for HD makeup. Firstly, they would put lenses in ur eyes just for their convenience to make ur eyes look good according to them. They without even asking me put lenses in my eyes which created a lot of irritation and redness. Then in the makeup room Richa started putting makeup on my face with such harsh fingers and her brush use on my eyes was making my skin irritated. My face didn't match with my hands and back, which I had to request them to fine tune, which was not taken care of. She never allowed me to open my eyes. Finally when I saw myself I told them about the contouring problem and the patches, they didn't bother. My vision by the time was so barred,I had to make efforts to have look at my face due to which I got a pretty bad headache. I kept requesting the manager to remove the lenses, which she obviously ignored and I couldn't enjoy my engagment bcoz of headache

Makeovers by Niti

11:27 PM 0

I reached to salon as per my scheduled appointment for my engagement. But they made me wait for like two hours even after asking them continuously to make it fast because I had to travel from north Delhi to Ghaziabad for my engagement. Nobody listened. Moreover make up and hairstyle was too bad.. I asked for natural makeup but what i got was like a mask.. And the most pathetic part was my eye makeup. They should know how to enhance someone's features and should value the bride's time which is very very important. After paying so much money I expected something good. Not everybody needs fake features! P.S Manager is not able to handle the stuff when it is crowded.

Ai got positive comments. Me think same compare reviewer before. Staff maybe trained in china, maybe not real technique? The doctors talk to me little, and just come in do treatment and leave. A lot time, sales person talk to me. The doctor seems don't care about my feeling' and I don't know if products are safe. Are they trained properly? Thank you for the reply from clinic. I think block me write review? This is not the fake account and email. I use my 小名 so it not be on database. The review are good but mine is fake and the other not the fake. Many English review but when my friends go never see any English. Maybe the reviews are fake? I booked it for my wedding day from Pretty herself but my experience was very bad. Make up was not good. She made my look like Chinese.I observed that not only me but other girls also have the same issue. They were on time, but Sana promised me tat she'll give good artificial eyelashes but the one which she gave was not that good it came off on wedding ceremony only. And next she didn't offer me a trial makeup also. The tiara what I asked was not brought, she got me different one in last I can't tell her anything about it.
